Marie Wez is a writer, poet and multi-disciplinary artist. Besides her creative practice, her work has evolved into research, writing, curation and teaching.
---
She is currently engaged in researching the intersection of textile, language and socio-political dynamics looking at textile work as an embodiment of radical care and an imagination of liberated futures.
Her latest writing feature Mending as Visionary Practice was published in issue 05 of The Lissome, Rise Up Rooted, Like Trees, elaborating on mending as an offering of repair, resilience and resistance, an embodiment of care through our bodies and the needle, and an imagination through stories and visionary fiction.
For Pause World Magazine, she looks at the connection between care, women and textile work in a broader historical and social context through visual and written research, to be published in 2026 alongside an exhibition scheduled to take place in New York City.
In collaboration with Pause World, she has hosted a Mending Workshop in Berlin that has since evolved into a growing community of first- and long-time menders.
Her poetry has been published in Badlon Magazine, Sleek Magazine, Safelight Paper, Tome Wood Publication and FIG001. She has given readings at AFF Galerie (2025) and BODE Galerie (2023). In 2024 she has performed Traces/Two co-written by and performed with Matheus Martins at Kapelle am Urban (2024), exploring the dimensions of dialogue inhabiting physical, emotional and ethereal spaces. In 2025 she has written and directed a short film for Nike (Air Superfly) titled Moving Poetry.
She has written multiple essays published in her newsletter In the Palm of Dawn.
She is currently involved in editing a magazine, to be launched towards the end of 2025.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design.

Notes:
I used to be more heavily engaged in the fashion industry, especially in the realm of sustainability, but I am questioning what it is we are actually sustaining. (For more info about my previous work, please send a portfolio request)
I will occasionally work as a stylist if the project feels right, although I am more interested in theatre, music, dance and film projects.
If you need a costume designer or stylist in these landscapes, please do reach out. If you‘re a performer or part of a creative collective, please do reach out.
I am still occasionally working as an art and creative director and creative consultant. For project inquiries, please reach out.
---
I am working on adding archive material from past projects to this website.
I think I will also add pieces from my own archive, which contains a lot of old papers, magazines, images and textiles. (**work in progress**)

Notes:
In the face of the increased targeting and attempted silencing of the Pro-Palestinian and social justice movement in Germany and beyond, I have created hand-made solidarity patches in collaboration with Lucie de Bréchard and Michael José. This is an on-going project with all proceeds going to 3ezwa, a collective in Berlin supporting activists by providing financial and legal aid. To purchase a patch, please reach out.
If you would like to collaborate on a project supporting the resistance, please reach out.
If you cannot name a genocide, fuck off and please do not reach out for any inquiries whatsoever.
