Our bodies speak a language many of us have forgotten. We are all part of a whole,
yet this relationship has been disrupted. A wound is also a story, is language,
is memory woven through our bodies and carved into our souls.
Somatic library is a space of listening and learning to read the language of your body. Through somatic touch and mindful guidance, we restore grounding and trust, release tension and stress, practice connection and deepen the relationship to yourself, your body and your place in the world. Inviting aliveness back into the body, somatic touch can support transformation and helps navigate challenging chapters of our lives with clarity, ease and imagination and create embodied change.
My personal practice is deeply shaped by my somatic lineage* as well as the principles of Ayurveda, slowness, fractal change, radical dreaming and storytelling.
The practice of somatics is deeply informed by indigenous wisdom viewing the body in relationship to the mind and the soul, to the natural and more-than human world. The supremacist and capitalist systems we find ourselves in have severed us from these relationships. We have unconsciously inherited practices that do not belong to us, forgot what it means to be and feel connected, to read the signals of our bodies and let them inform us. In order to create change, both within ourselves and our environments, we begin to learn to cultivate resilience, to truly trust ourselves, embody who we are and what what is important to us.
A wound is also an opening. Pain is also a guide, is pointing towards something we care about.
A story is always a portal.
